New Revelations

Updated: Jun 7, 2025

Is history really boring as it seems? Is it only about mugging pages full of dry facts and vomiting them in the answer sheets? Or is it something to be grasped, understood and assimilated just like science?

Have you ever wondered whether our ancestors were really as meek and submissive as they had been portrayed in standard texts? Or there is something more to the entire picture which has been kept away from us?

Did our past generations actually remain quiet in the face of foreign oppression, tyranny or injustice or they did retaliate in befitting ways to preserve the honour of their nation?

Are you interested in learning anything other than tales of cowardice, timidity, meek subjugation and opportunism?

Then your answer is here.

These are the tales of fiery patriotism, full of courage, valour and heroism. Tales that had been carefully and unceremoniously dumped into the bins so as to keep the future generations oblivious to the sort of acts which the post independence politicians despised and feared.

This is a near complete account of the revolutionary movements in the freedom struggle of our nation. It consists details of nearly all armed revolutionary activities, both mass uprisings and actions undertaken by different revolutionary groups, starting right from the Sannyasin & Fakir uprising in Bengal to the mutinies of the soldiers of the British Indian armed forces. It is highly informative but has been kept concise (to prevent tedium and boredom!). This work is intended to reinforce the idea that our forefathers did only not take tyranny and oppression lying down but also gave their lives and sanity so that their future generations would walk on the lands of a free nation.

This is "The Other Side of History" which is now exposed before you. Please have a look at it to get enlightened about some glorious chapters of our relatively recent passed which the mainstream historians have so meticulously overlooked.

This work is something for which I had given nearly the last 20 years. It is my way to pay homage to the bravehearts who had given everything for their motherland but got nothing in return. May this work stand as a testimony to their noble deeds for which we are enjoying the fruits of independence. If the readers enjoy the read my efforts will be considered worthwhile.
